New update video about what you should be extra careful for your course.

Please read the disclaimer first before registering for this course.

Please note that we will be communicating through my Gmail, because Citymail will block the Password reset process. I will also be using my Gmail to communicate with you. If you do not have a working email, you will not be able to enroll in the course. If you have any questions, feel free to chat with me online. I will do my best to answer your questions promptly. In case I am not able to respond immediately, I will get back to you as soon as possible. You will receive an email from me in response to your query (provided you have provided an email). Thank you for your attention to this matter.  I highly recommend you to read about 5 Tips to Succeed in an Online Course” by Ryan Lytle.  In order to help you write an email that does represent you in a way you would like to be represented, I would like to recommend this article “A proper way to write an email” with my comments to help you to write a respectful email.

IT IS STUDENTS’ RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING WORK INCLUDING SOFTWARE, HARDWARE, OR ENROLLMENT ISSUE.  PLEASE ACTIVE SEEK SOLUTION, IF YOU ENCOUNTER PROBLEM WITH OUR ONLINE SYSTEM.  I WOULDN’T KNOW YOUR PROBLEM, IF YOU DON’T COME FORWARD TO ASK. This class is NOT for those who are seeking an easy way to get a grade (not attending any class), and it is actually a lot of harder to take an online course.  Please for those who want an easier grade, go register a traditional seat-in class, or take some easier Zoom meeting online course.

DO NOT PROCRASTINATE!

I understand that time management can be difficult, but it is crucial for success in an online course. Please make sure to check your email you registered with CUNYFIRST for a working password for your course. If you have any issues logging in, please do not hesitate to contact me at ssaonlinecourse@gmail.com. All courses have specific start dates, so please make sure to start your course work on time. Failure to complete each session before the end of the prescribed time will result in being treated as not attending the course. Your account will be deregistered if you fail to start your course in the first week and will be locked if you idle for too long. If you have any questions or doubts, please do not hesitate to ask. I am here to help and support you in your online learning journey.

I am writing to provide you with some important information regarding the course registration and requirements. Firstly, please note that it is highly recommended that you do not use your smartphone or iPhone to access the course website. You will need a steady internet connection to register and access the course content. Additionally, the website is not tested for iPhone or Android devices. It is crucial to keep in mind that the content on these courses is time-sensitive. You must complete each lesson before moving on to the next section. There will be sufficient time for you to complete each section, but you must finish one before moving on to the next. Please read the instructions on each session carefully, as there will be assignments due. You must complete each assignment and web component in a timely manner, or you will not receive a grade for the course. It is important to note that the section will not be available after the time expires. Therefore, it is essential to keep track of the deadlines and complete the work on time. Lastly, please be aware that the midterm and final presentations will be online. You will need to apply for a free online cloud service, such as Google Drive, for files larger than 10GB. Please use the online submission form to submit your assignments and projects. Failure to do so will result in a grade of zero. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. I am here to help you succeed in this course.

ONLINE SUBMISSION FORM

At the end of every session, you need to submit your assignment.

Click HERE for a YouTube instruction on how to use Google Drive! I will only accept Google Drive.  Create a fresh new Gmail with your Google Drive and share it with me.

I wanted to touch base regarding the submission process for our course. From my experience, I have found that the online submission form is much superior to file sharing. While file sharing is simply a link to your files, the online submission form offers much more. You can comment directly on the submission form and an email will be sent back to you for record keeping purposes. Furthermore, CCNY will have a digital trace of your submission thanks to the Learning Management System which tracks all submissions. Two copies of successful submissions will be sent to both my CCNY email address and the ssaonlinecourse email, resulting in three digital copies. This ensures that no mistakes will be made during the submission process. If you have any questions regarding the submission pages, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I am more than happy to assist you.

Are there only 6 file sharing for you to share your file?

Not true. You can file share your folder, so it can easily lead me to your assignment folder.  You can have many files in a folder. You can also copy&paste your share folder’s link on your assignment submission form, and everything under that share folder will be available for me to view.

Are there only 6 files to submit on the submission page?

Not true. These direct files will directly forward your files to all our emails, which will jam our CCNY email. It is only allowed for files not bigger than 5mg, but it is perfect for image capture. You can zip it in 6 files, and that is 30mg files (about 60 large images).  You can also copy & paste your shared folder’s link into your submission page’s field.

Always ask me questions directly. No need to ask anyone else, because my email is open 24 hours and 7days a week. I am open to CHAT as well, if you prefer to chat with me online.

Please don’t use this email to correspond, only through my online submission form. Your submission will be recorded by my LMS and a record will be emailed to my CCNY email address. There will be a clear requirement on how to submit your works in each session of your course, and there will be a deadline after each assignment.  You have to respond to your emails.  It is a bad habit, not to check your email at least once to twice per a day.  DON’T TAKE AN ONLINE COURSE, IF YOU DON’T LIKE TO CHECK YOUR EMAIL EVERYDAY.
